- Walt Disney was born on September 5, 1901, in the US state of Illinois at a place named Hermosa. His father was Elias Disney, who was a farmer as well as a carpenter. But later due to not being able to survive all these works, he also did the work of selling fruits in the market.
- However, even after doing different work, he could not have enough money that his entire family could live well and he could send his children to school. That's why he sold his farm and settled in the small village of Marceline, Missouri in 1906. Where Walt's uncle's land was already there. Besides Walt, he also had three brothers and a younger sister.

Schooling And Newspaper
- Closest to Walt Disney was his brother Roy. With whom he used to spend all his time. In the end of 1909, Walt Disney was admitted to a nearby school. But his family could not stay in that village for long due to financial constraints, and then in 1911, he came to live in a city called Kansas, facing financial difficulties. Where Walt's father eventually got the job of distributing newspapers and magazines, and after raising some money, he got Walt Disney admitted to the Benton Grammar School.
- But because of the abundance of newspapers, Walt and his brother Roy used to read their father's hand. Waking up every morning at 4.30 am, he had to go to distribute papers in the cold, Walt Disney used to go to school after distributing the papers, and then after coming back from school in the evening, he used to go out again to distribute magazines. Walt and Roy used to get so tired of all these things that they fell asleep in the school class itself. That's why he was counted among the weakest students of his class.
Struggles Vs Passion
- But even in this difficult period, Walt Disney never compromised on drawing. And whenever he got a little time, he used to look at the cover of the magazine or start drawing by thinking of anything in his mind. Walt Disney often went to a salon near his house to draw, and his drawing was so good that the owner of the salon cut his hair for free in exchange for his drawing.
- Whenever there was no need for a haircut, he used to give money too. But Walt Disney did not make those drawings for the greed of money, but because the owner of the salon used to get his drawings framed on his wall and many people used to praise him after seeing his drawing. Struggle Of Walt Disney,
- Walt Disney also had to see the days when he had to sell pop corn, cold drinks and bottles of water by going on trains. And after collecting some money doing a lot of things like this, Walt Disney started taking arts classes over the weekend at the Kansas City Art Institute. Even for some years further struggle and studies continued. And then in 1918, after the First World War, Walt Disney applied to join the US Army, but was rejected because of his young age. And then he changed his date of birth and applied for the position of driver to drive an ambulance in the Red Cross. Where he was selected and his posting was done in France. Walt Disney still had a lot of different things going on.
- But there was always a passion in his mind to do something in the art field. He used to do art on his ambulance too. Disney left the Red Cross in October 1919, and then returned to America, as his job was as an artist at the Paaman Garuveen Commercial Art Studio. But in 1920, he was fired from that job saying that he lacked creativity. He lacks imagination and cannot create anything beautiful. But this thing hurt Walt Disney's heart, because he had dealt with everything his whole life. But he never compromised on his art, drawing.
- After which Walt Disney opened a small company (Laugh-O-Gram), but due to lack of money, this company also closed. Disney had twenty dollars in his pocket and a cardboard briefcase. The clothes and some tools for making drawing were kept.
How Walt Disney Company Started?
- But he never gave up on his efforts and started another company with the help of two thousand dollars saved by his brother Roy. Which was named Disney Brothers Studio and later changed to The Walt Disney Company.
- And it is said that "if you do not give up, then the effort is not in vain". This company created by Disney Brothers went on very soon and then later on they hired many people as well. Now Walt Disney's life was largely back on track. He married a girl named Lillian in 1925, who worked as an artist in his company. But what cartoons were it that made Walt Disney reach the pinnacle?
- In 1928, on a paper train from New York to California, Walt Disney began to draw some strange cartoons and eventually drew a mouse-shaped drawing. Which he named Mickey at the behest of his wife, and then by making animation of that drawing, Walt Disney gave his voice to Mickey. On November 8th, 1928, Walt Disney made the first show of that animation in Manhattan, which was well received by the public, then since then Walt Disney has never looked back. And one after the other the best animation films were given to this world.
- Walt Disney has received more than 950 awards and honors from all over the world. Not only this, he was nominated sixty-nine times for the Oscar Award, the biggest award of this film industry, in which he was successful in winning twenty-two.
