- What Is The Story Of Buddha, Gautam Buddha always considered truth and non-violence as the main basis of his life and he inspired others to follow this path. By the way, Gautam Buddha was born in a royal family and there was never any shortage of anything in his life.
- Whatever he wanted, he would get it immediately. But in spite of this, he gave up all these social pleasures in search of divine knowledge and then shared his great ideas and showed the right path to many forgotten wanderers.
- So now we will come to know Mahatma Buddha from the beginning and try to learn something from him.
- So in about 563 BC, Gautam Buddha was born in Lumbini Nepal near Kapilvastu. He was not Gautam Buddha from childhood, in fact, his childhood name is Siddhartha Gautama and he was born to King Shuddhodan and Queen Mahamaya Devi. However, only seven days after the birth of Gautam, his mother had left this world.
- But when Buddha was taken to the king, he was named Siddhartha with all the rituals there. Many sages came during his naming, most of whom prophesied about Siddhartha that he would either become a great king and or a great sage.
- And then after his mother's departure, Siddhartha was raised by his mother's sister Mahaprajapati Gautam. Siddhartha's father wanted to make him a great king since childhood and that is why he kept him away from religious knowledge in his childhood.
- While, Gautam was very kind since childhood and did not want to hurt anyone, even he used to lose himself deliberately while playing in his childhood. When his cousin Devadatta injured a swan with his arrow, it was Buddha who protected him and it was these things that set him apart from the rest.
- However, when he was sixteen years old, then Queen Yashodara came into his life. Similarly, it was around this time that he began to constantly search for answers to many religious questions and when he went out into the public, then in his journey he faced sickness, old age, and worldly sorrows.
- He learned many such things which he had never known before. Then, one night he decided to leave the palace and after coming out he decided that he would attain divine knowledge. This is where Gautam's journey to becoming Gautam Buddha began.
- After leaving the palace, he first reached the bank of the Anoma River where he came completely disguised as a monk. After this, he reached Rajagaha and started begging there.
- However, then he was recognized by the people of King Bimbisara of Magadha. Then he was brought to the king's court, then King Bimbisara told him to give some part of his kingdom to live.
- However, where Gautam Buddha was going to come in this social greed and talk?, he simply refused to take help from Bimbisara.
- Then after leaving from there, Gautam Buddha received education from two well-known teachers of yoga and meditation and after receiving rigorous education for many years, he started meditating properly.
- And then after reaching Bodh Gaya, when Gautam Buddha sat under a peepal tree also known as Bodhi Tree. When he meditated continuously for forty-nine days, he attained divine knowledge. It is estimated that at that time Gautam Buddha was thirty-five years old, then from then till the age of eighty, Gautam Buddha continued to preach.
- During this, many of his students also became, who continued to follow the path taught by him. Even now, if seen, the number of people who believe in Gautam Buddha, is in millions and billions, in which many people from countries like China, Japan, Korea, India, and Nepal can be seen.
- And teaching given by Gautam Buddha Ji affects many human beings and tells them to walk on the right path. So these were some aspects about the journey of Siddhartha Gautama to become Mahatma Buddha, which shows how he became a great saint.
- He taught us many good things, which are much enough to motivate also inspire us.
