  • He was born Sundar Rajan Pichai. Sundar was born on 12 July 1972 in a small village in Tamil Nadu. His father is Raghunath Pichai and his mother is Laxmi. 


  • His father was an electrical engineer, and it was from him that Sundar got the inspiration to join technology. Sundar Pichai was about twelve years old when his father took a landline phone at home.



  • Even though Sundar Pichai is at the top of the tech company but this was the prior technology-related thing in his life. Sundar Pichai had a very special quality, he used to easily memorize all the numbers dialed in his telephone.



  •  Not only was he good in studies, but he was also passionate about cricket and he also took the captaincy of the cricket team of his school. 


 

  • Sundar completed his 10th standard at Jawahar School and then completed his 12th from Wana Wadi School in Chennai and then did his engineering studies from IIT Kharagpur. With the strength of his dedication and hard work, he topped everywhere and in IIT he was also awarded the Rajak Medal.

 

 

  • And for further studies, he took admission to the Stanford University of California and completed a Master in Science degree in Physics, later he went to the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania to study MBA. 


How Did Sundar Pichai Became CEO Of Google?

  • Before joining Google, Sundar Pichai also contributed to Mckinsey & Company and Applied Materials. 

 

 

  • Whereas he joined Google in 2004, initially, he worked with a novel team on the Google Search Tool Bar. 


  • While working at Google, an idea came to Sundar Pichai's mind, that was to make his own internet browser. Whereas, the CEO had refused this project, calling it too expensive. But Pichai did not give up. And talking to other Google partners convinced them. 


  • In 2008, Google launched its own web browser called Chrome with the help of Sundar Pichai. Now, Google Chrome is the most used web browser in the world.



  •  This was the turning point for Sundar Pichai in the Google company, Seeing his dedication, he got the top positions of every product. And soon, Sundar Pichai also joined the CEO's circle. Before becoming the CEO of Google (Android is also part of Google), 



  • He also got offers from Microsoft and Twitter. But seeing his dedication and hard work, Google somehow stopped him. 


  • And finally, on August 10, 2015, Sundar Pichai became the Chief Executive Officer of the world's largest company, Google.

 

  

  • No doubt, his hard work, and dedication are one of the main reasons for this achievement. 


  • But Sundar Pichai's simple nature also has a big hand behind this success. People respect him a lot because of his simple nature.
